Georgia Bulldogs vs Ole Miss Rebels | College Football Playoff (Sugar Bowl) Preview & Prediction

Gunner Stockton, Kirby Smart, CJ Allen, Zachariah Brach and the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs face Trinidad Chambliss, Kewan Lacy, Suntarine Perkins, Deuce Alexander, Pete Golding and the Ole Miss Rebels in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals at the All State Sugar Bowl.

Georgia beat Ole Miss in the first matchup and in this rematch they look to replicate their offensive success, Dill Bell and Nate Frazier will be key contributors for this Mike Bobo offense against Pete Golding and his defense. With Lane Kiffin leaving for Ole Miss, not many people are giving the Rebels are great chance despite Charlie Weis Jr remaining to coach the offense through the CFP.

The Kewan Lacy injury is very concerning as he has been one of the best running backs in college football this year, especially in the red zone where he has been a touchdown machine. Raylen Wilson and KJ Bolden are apart of this Bulldog defense that has been lights out for the past month and is eager to show they can play a lot better than they did in the first matchup giving up 5 touchdowns on the first 5 possessions to Chambliss.

De’Zhaun Stribling, Dae’Quan Wright and Harrison Wallace are key parts of the Ole Miss offense which is one of the deepest receiving cores you will find all of them with big play ability and great in space as well as making necessary contested catches. Oscar Delp for Georgia is an overlooked part of their offense, he is critical in the Red-Zone along with the legs of Gunner Stockton, who will leave everything on the line to get his team to the Semifinals.

He’ll need to get through Will Echoles, Kam Franklin, TJ Dottery and Zxavian Harris and Princewill Umanmielen (one of the best Defensive Line players in the SEC) they have been incredible in a year where the Rebels replaced so much talent to the NFL Draft. Georgia is 6.5 point favorites in the Sugar Bowl with third the best odds to win the National Championship.
