Summary: Redshirt senior.  Starts at defensive tackle; versatile lineman who has aligned at multiple positions on the DL.  Tall and long defensive tackle; has a thick can and long arms and legs which gives him room to add bulk.  Average run defender, below-average pass rusher.  As a run defender he is average.  Consistently has good first-step quickness, flashes some twitch, fires forward off the LOS with some explosiveness.  Has good anchor strength, can be hard to move from his spot, and does a great job of occupying multiple interior OLs while his teammates clean up the play.  Can push the pile in short yardage/goal line situations.  Does an adequate job of taking on double team blocks and holding the point.  Above-average pursuit and motor; works and rarely loafs.  Has a tough time shedding, would like to see him develop better use-of-hands and disengage off base blocks and make tackles of his own.  Needs to be around the ball more and react quicker to screens.  As a pass rusher he is average, which is reflected in his sack numbers as well as skills.  Has first-step quickness but struggles to reach the QB in-time. Needs to bend his knees and play with better leverage. Key issue is shedding those blocks; mostly a bull rusher who flashes a good swim move but is otherwise limited in his tools.  Is a really raw athlete for his playing experience which shows up in both phases but especially as a rusher.  Late-round value pick.  Right coach and right team could develop him.

Power Statement: Aaron is an average run defender and below-average pass rusher.  He is a late-round pick who has potential to develop with the right team and coach.  His primary drawback is his ability to shed blocks, but he has the size and measurables for the position. With his height and frame, I think he can add more bulk and be an interior run plugger at the next level.
