What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2026 NFL Draft?
My experience, knowledge of the game on both sides of the ball, and off script playmaking is what makes me a top prospect in this draft. I have been in college football a long time. I have been at 2 schools with multiple offensive playbooks and styles, and have had to learn how to lead different locker rooms with different cultures. I know how to win over a locker room as a quarterback, and I know how important it is for the entire team to respect who is behind the center. My 6 years of college football have given me a chance to not only play a lot of snaps, but also watch a lot of snaps. When I was not starting I was always learning. Mental reps at practice and in games were always preparing me for when my time came to play. All of this time has also helped me grow my knowledge of the game. I have grown a lot in knowing different offensive schemes and defensive adjustments over the years. This has allowed me to learn the game really well, but there is always more to learn. This makes me play faster and not hesitate in my decision making. I believe those are two musts to being a good quarterback. I consider myself to be very adaptable and coachable, and I don’t shy away from criticism. It is not always fun to hear, but it is what I need to hear to get better. I am always wanting to improve, and coming from my FCS level there is a high level of urgency to improve everyday. I think what makes me one of the best prospects at my position is my outlook on why I want to succeed. I don’t do it just for me, but I want to do everything I can to help my team win. It brings me more satisfaction to know that I did my job to put my teammates in a good position to succeed than it does for me personally to have success. Finally, I feel I add a certain element of playmaking that not everyone can do. I am mobile and can extend plays when the protection does not hold up or the secondary coverage is tight. I take care of the ball, know when to throw it away, know when to run, and know when to take a calculated risk. I do whatever I feel is necessary to keep the drive moving in a positive direction.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
One thing NFL teams need to know about me is that I am the most responsible, dependable, and organized person I know. I am always where I am supposed to be, doing what I am supposed to do. I take great pride in doing my job, because I know that there is always someone that would love to take it. I want my reputation to precede me as a dependable player who you never have to worry about on or off the field. I also got married right after graduating from Mercer and right before transferring to Maine, so I am no longer playing for myself but for my family. That took my level of focus and drive to a whole different level.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
I would donate to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital. There are so many children out there that just came into this world. They did not ask to be sick or do anything to deserve it, so I would want to help them in any way I can. Also, for the parents who have financial burdens because of a sickness their child has, I want to get rid of that burden. They did not know their child would be sick, and they did nothing to make their child sick. Being able to help provide free medical care for sick children and their parents would be a very fulfilling cause to give to.
Who was your role model?
Growing up, my role model was Tim Tebow. I loved watching him play at Florida. It was the passion, his tough running style, and his leadership that caught my eye. I think he’s the greatest college QB of all time, and he did it with humility.
Who is your favorite NFL team?
Detroit Lions, Dan Cambell is my favorite coach.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
One of our defensive lineman Jayden Lee. He is very physical and very strong. He makes life hard on us as an offense, and he always has a great attitude.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Someone who does not practice what they preach, double standards
Who is your favorite teacher ever?
My 4th grade teacher Mrs. Anderson. She taught us more than the textbooks. She taught us how to sow, cook, and other life skills. I will never forget being in her class, and I still talk to her to this day.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
I have been very blessed in my lifetime. I have not faced terrible adversity in terms of an unexpected tragedy or financial problems like many athletes have faced growing up. For me, I have lost 3 grandparents and an older sister when I was 5 years old. My sister was born with a terminal illness that caused her life to be very short, but being only five years old when she passed helped ease the hurt of that loss. For my adversity, I would say the hardest thing I have had to overcome is watching my Nana battle stage 4 brain cancer while playing my senior football season. We got her diagnosis in the summer, and we moved her to a house that was 5 minutes from ours. She was starting to get worse during the middle of my season, and she passed away the night before my senior night. That game was very tough to play in, but we did win. It was hard to play a game when someone I loved very much and that had done so much for me was no longer with me. The next week though after senior night I would go on to have one of the best games I had in my highschool career. Having to push through that really taught me that no matter what you have going on personally, there are people counting on you to do your job no matter what.
If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house what would it be?
Texas roadhouse no doubt. They got anything you wanted. Steaks, burgers, chicken, and more. The best part about it though is my favorite thing there is free, the butter and rolls.
What is your favorite snack food?
Fruit, specifically pineapple or watermelon
What is your degree in?
Masters in Business Administration, undergrad in communications
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Grant Cardone- I want to pick his brain about business and real estate
Nick Saban- He is the GOAT of college football and leadership skills
My wife- She is my best friend and always have fun being around her
What is your biggest weakness?
I would say my biggest weakness is my ability to make close friends in the locker room and amungst my teammates. I am a great teammate on the field, but off the field I am not th
