New York Jets football player Tae Hayes arrested in Alabama for possession of drugs
New York Jets are in the news this weekend after one of their football players was arrested in Alabama on drug charges.
According to sources, Tae Hayes the Jets cornerback was arrested for marijuana possession. Hayes was booked and released after posting a $300 bond.
The Jets released the following statement on the arrest:
“We are aware of the situation and we will refrain from further comment, as it is a pending legal matter.’’
Hayes played in one game for the Jets last season while serving as a practice squad player. He went undrafted out of App State back in 2019, and has been on six teams in his career. He has played in 14 total games.
