Breaking: Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign TE Josh Pederson, the son of Head Coach Doug Pederson

Doug Pederson will get to coach his son! We are learning the Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign former USFL standout tight end Josh Pederson.
Josh had a solid career at UL-Monroe and has spent some time in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers in 2021, Saints in 2021, and Chiefs in 2022. After a solid season with the Houston Gamblers, Pederson will get a shot to show his father and the staff in Jacksonville he deserves to be in the NFL.
Back in 2021, Doug Pederson was fired by the Eagles, Doug told reporters he wanted his son to pave his own path and he has.
“Any team that is willing to give Josh an opportunity, that’s great,” Doug Pederson said. “If it’s Philly, that’s awesome. It’s a great place to play, great fanbase and he’d have an opportunity to do that. There are 32 teams and hopefully one of them takes a shot on him.”
Josh finished the 2023 season with two receptions on the Houston Gamblers. I love this signing. I think Josh has a ton of potential. We interviewed him before the NFL Draft and he was a great kid.
