Former NFL player says if Sean Payton cannot fix Russell Wilson there will be some major changes in Denver
Will Sean Payton be able to fix Russell Wilson? Keyshawn Johnson the former NFL standout wide receiver believes if anyone can fix Russell’s problems it will be Sean Payton, but how much time will the head coach have the patience for Russell if he cannot do it?
According to Keyshawn it may not be long.
“(Payton) can certainly fix him, and if he doesn’t, it won’t be on Sean Payton. It will be on Russell Wilson,” Johnson said. “I know Sean very, very, very well. I can guarantee you that if it don’t go the way he wants it to go, despite salary cap ramifications and whatnot, there’s going to be some major changes at the quarterback position in 2024 for the Denver Broncos.”
Here is the clip, it will be interesting to see.
Wilson signed a massive five year deal worth 242 million dollars before the 2022 season, so if Payton cannot fix Russell, it will be interesting to see if the team is willing to move on from him after two years.
Hopefully Russ can fix his problems, and fix them soon.
