What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2027 NFL Draft?
I’m a complete back. I do the tough things that not every running back wants to do blocking, pass protection, and fighting for every yard. I can run, catch, and make plays in any situation, so I believe I bring value in every aspect of the game.
Tell me about a time you faced adversity and how you responded?
One of the biggest moments of adversity I faced was when I wasn’t happy with my situation, especially my playing time. Instead of complaining or feeling sorry for myself, I took responsibility for what I could control. I committed to improving every part of my game. I lost weight, got stronger, faster, and more explosive, and worked on becoming mentally tougher. That experience taught me that adversity is an opportunity to grow. I learned to focus on my work, stay patient, and keep improving every day rather than letting circumstances define me.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
Outside of football, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and my family. They keep me grounded and are a big part of why I work so hard. I also like working out with my friends and my dad because it helps me stay competitive and continue improving. When I have free time, I just enjoy relaxing and being around the people closest to me.
What role do you see yourself playing at the next level?
At the next level, I see myself filling whatever role my team needs me to play. Whether that’s being an every-down back, contributing on special teams, blocking in pass protection, catching passes out of the backfield, or grinding out tough yards, I’ll give everything I have. My mindset is to earn trust, help the team win, and give 110% every time I’m on the field.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
If I could donate to one cause, it would be programs that support troubled youth and community centers. Growing up in Muncie, Indiana, I saw a lot of young people surrounded by difficult situations and negative influences. Since day one, one of my biggest goals has been to inspire and serve others. I want to show kids that there are other paths to success besides the streets. By investing in community centers, mentorship, and youth programs, I believe we can give the next generation opportunities, guidance, and hope for a better future.
How do you handle coaching, especially criticism or being corrected repeatedly?
I welcome coaching and constructive criticism because it means my coaches care and want to see me improve. I never take it personally. I listen, make the correction, and work to make sure I don’t repeat the same mistake. I’m always looking to learn and get better because I know that’s what it takes to succeed at the next level
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
Devin Cox
If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would it be and why did you choose them?
Lebron James, Saquan Barkley, MLK
If you were benched tomorrow, what would be the most likely reason?
If I were benched tomorrow, it would most likely be because I didn’t meet the standard the team expects from me. Whether it’s my preparation, execution, or attention to detail, I’d take responsibility, learn from it, and work to earn my way back. I believe in being accountable and controlling what I can control
Walk me through your typical pre-game routine?
My pre game routine starts with walking the field to get comfortable with the environment. Then I take some time to pray and meditate so I can clear my mind and stay focused. After that, I put my cleats on, get a good stretch in, and start my warm-up. I’ll do some ladder work to get my feet moving, work on ball security, go through a few short cut drills, and finish by catching passes out of the backfield. By the time kickoff comes, I feel mentally locked in and physically ready to play.
What is your favorite snack food?
Grapes
What scheme do you feel you fit the best in?
I believe I can fit into any offensive scheme because I’m a versatile running back. Whether it’s zone or gap, I can make one cut and get downhill, or be patient and let blocks develop. I can run between the tackles, catch the ball out of the backfield, protect the quarterback, and contribute in short yardage or on third down. My goal is to be the type of player coaches can trust in any situation
What is your degree in?
Sports Administration
What would be the first thing you buy with your first NFL check?
The first thing I’d do with my first NFL check is take care of my parents. They’ve made countless sacrifices for me and my sister, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them. Being able to give back to them and show my appreciation would mean more to me than buying anything for myself. They’ve invested in my dreams from day one, and I’d want to repay them for everything they’ve done
Describe a time in a game where you feel you made a mistake, and explain how you bounced back?
Last season, I had a game where I struggled early. I had a rough first quarter and even had a fumble, which was a mistake that I took responsibility for. Instead of letting that one play affect the rest of my performance, I stayed focused, trusted my preparation, and continued to compete. I learned from the mistake, made the corrections, and kept playing with confidence. I ended up finishing the game with my highest rushing yard total of the season. That experience showed me the importance of having a short memory, staying mentally tough, and continuing to fight through adversity
