What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I would say just growing up everyday watching the NFL Network on my tv as a kid made this something I could see myself doing.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Either winning the MIAA championship last year or playing in the first NFL Hall of Fame tournament as a kid.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I would definitely say my mom, she had been my biggest rock growing up and I just want to be able to repay her for it all one day.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I would say the competition. You have to want it more everyday every play, and that goes for practice as well. You have to do everything with a purpose.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Either Cam Newton or Deion Sanders for sure. Those are just two of my favorite players growing up and I feel that would be a great time.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Pittsburg State?

Just the vibe on game day, and how important it is, it means something to us and the community, win or lose.

What should we know about Kuron Parchmon the person?

I would just say that I’m a person just like the rest of everyone else, I bleed, I cry and I have a hard time and I have good times, just because I can catch a ball at a good rate doesn’t mean that I’m different from you in any way shape or form.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I would say Spread offense. Push the ball down field type of game. Just because it really puts the defense at your mercy with spacing and how you can attack the gaps in the coverage especially if it is zone.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Leaning on my faith in private is by far the main way I handle stress. The most high is the only way to real true peace and happiness in life. I am nothing without him.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They are going to get someone who is hungry, who is going to come in a give the best effort. Someone who prides themselves on making the play no matter how big or small the play is. It all matters, I’m someone who doesn’t play around when it comes to winning or playing my role. It will be done to the best of my ability every time.

What stands out about your film the most?

I would say that I can plug a lot of holes in the offense. I can play slot, wideout, I can be used in the backfield, I can catch the ball down field on top of defenders, and I also block every time I get the chance.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I would say Kam Gillespie. I say that because he has real talent. He can run routes with the best and has top tier hands, he just needs to get the opportunity to show that, and I think he will take off the moment he does. I think this will be a really big year for him and I hope it is. I want to see him succeed.
