Who is the NFL player you compare yourself the most to? Why is that?
I’d compare myself most to Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, with some elements of Upton Stout mixed in. I take pride in being a versatile defensive back who can play multiple roles corner, nickel, and safety and still be physical, instinctive, and disruptive. Like Chauncey, I play with confidence and edge, I’m vocal, and I’m not afraid to compete with anyone lined up across from me. I study route concepts, quarterback tendencies, and offensive structure, which helps me play fast and anticipate instead of just reacting. I also take pride in ball production and being a tone-setter on defense.
What aspects of playing in the NFL do you find to be intriguing?
What intrigues me most about the NFL is the level of competition and attention to detail. Everyone at that level is elite, so it becomes about preparation, discipline, and consistency. I’m drawn to the chess match studying film, understanding offensive tendencies, disguising coverages, and executing at full speed. I also love the idea of being part of a professional environment where every rep matters, where your habits truly define your career. Competing against the best in the world every day is something I look forward to.
In what ways have you improved since last season?
Since last season, I’ve grown a lot both physically and mentally. I’ve improved my play speed, footwork, and overall football IQ, especially in understanding route combinations and offensive spacing. My confidence in man coverage has taken a big step forward, and I’m more comfortable playing with patience and discipline while still being aggressive. I’ve also improved my communication on the back end making checks, helping teammates get lined up, and taking more ownership of the defense. From a preparation standpoint, I’m more intentional with film study, recovery, and training, which has helped me stay consistent.
What is your favorite memory so far as a college football player?
Beyond one specific play, it’s the brotherhood in the locker room, the grind of practices and overall just building life long bonds
What is the most important thing you would like NFL scouts, coaches, and general managers to know about you?
The most important thing I want them to know is that I’m a competitor who loves the process. I’m coachable, dependable, and willing to do whatever it takes to help a team win. I bring energy, discipline, and accountability every day. Football means more to me than just talent it’s about preparation, sacrifice, and consistency. I take pride in my versatility, my work ethic, and my mindset. Whoever gives me an opportunity will get someone who’s hungry, driven, and ready to earn everything he gets.
