What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Honestly it was more so luck than anything. My parents were trying to sign me up for sports when I was younger and I tried a few (baseball, basketball), and football really stuck with me. Ever since then it was my goal to make it to the NFL.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments are the intense game situations and being in the heat of the moment with the game on the line. A close second would be the moments spent in the locker room and off the field with teammates who ended up becoming my closest friends.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

My goal is to play football at the highest level and increase representation for football within the Indian community. Being one of the few Indian American football players, I strive to accomplish what has rarely been done before and serve as an underdog story for the people of my community, and others in similar situations athletically.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

One player I’d hang out with is Aaron Donald. With him being an undersized defensive lineman that dominated the NFL, I would cherish the opportunity to ask him football related and training related questions and to learn from him.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I would say my dad inspires me the most because of how hard he had to work to come from India to the United States. He earned everything on his own and put in ample amounts of time to make sure his family is set up for success in the United States.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defensive scheme is the 4-2-5 get off attack style defense. I’ve played in many schemes from the 3-3 stack to the bear front and I would have to say the 4-2-5 was the one where I was able to play vertical, cause chaos, dominate my fit, and play freely the most.

What should we know about Aditya Singh the person?

Aditya Singh is a passionate, hard working, process driven person. He will go sacrifice whatever it takes when it comes to achieving goals, and will passionately pursue a purpose that is greater than himself in the light of helping others and accomplishing great milestones.

What stands out about your film the most?

What stands out most about my film is the ability to disengage off blocks and dominate my fit. Playing in a run heavy conference, stopping the run was a necessity which I feel I did very well at. What the film doesn’t exactly show is I played about 710 out of the 793 total defensive snaps this year, so it took a different level of conditioning, toughness, and skill to be able to dominate each game having no rotation at the defensive line.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

With work. Whatever challenges there are, I find a way to put in work to solve it as I feel as if there’s always a way to work yourself out of a issue at hand. I also turn to God for guidance and ask for direction of how I can work towards being the man I am created to be.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team is getting a durable, reliable workhorse in me. I have played for so long and have found a way to be durable through it all in one of the most physically demanding positions. I am the guy that stays before and after practice and gets ample film time in due to my underdog work ethic and mentality. I’ve often found my work ethic influences those around me to follow suit and do better, so I’m excited to continue being a positive influence and achieving greatness.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the determination and toughness it takes to play. With so much off season time and few game opportunities, it truly tests one mental toughness and how resilient they are willing to be in the face of preparation. In the games itself, it takes repeated mental and physical training in the offseason to truly find ways to dominate when you are tired or when the circumstances may not be favorable.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

One of the most underrated players I’ve played with is Deuce Wise. He played running back for us this year and I believe his impact on the game, reliability, and consistency was not talked about enough. Even though he got all conference, I feel as if that doesn’t speak to how well he did.
