New York Jets are bringing in Two UFL kickers for a workout tomorrow

We are learning that the New York Jets are expected to bring in two United Football League kickers tomorrow for a workout. One is Rodrigo Blankenship and the other is Harrison Mevis aka the Thiccer Kicker!

I had the pleasure of working with Harrison Mevis at the Hula Bowl, and the ball absolutely jumps off his foot!

The Indiana native balled out at Missouri and was easily one of the top kickers in the country when coming out of the draft. Mevis attended Warsaw Community High School in Warsaw, Indiana. Ranked the number 8 overall kicker in the class of 2020, he committed to Missouri. Mevis kicked a 61-yard field goal to win the game against K-State, which fans rushed the field because the kick broke the record for the longest field goal in SEC history. Mevis is a 5’11 kicker who weighs 240 pounds, which is why he earned the name the Thiccer Kicker. Mevis has ice in his veins and is one of the best young kickers available.

St. Louis Battlehawks standout kicker Rodrigo Blankenship was named to the All-UFL team for his outstanding 2025 season. Blankenship, who played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs, made over 95% of his field goal attempts this season.

Blankenship has had an outstanding debut season in the United Football League (UFL). Blankenship, a fan favorite, made 21 of his 22 field goal attempts during the UFL’s 10 game regular season. He was accurate on long field goal attempts over 40 yards and went eight of eight on kicks from 40 to 49 yards. He went five of six on kicks over 50 yards and set a new career long of 56 yards.

It will be interesting to see if the Jets sign a kicker tomorrow.
