Terry Godwin, a former football standout at Callaway High School and the University of Georgia, was arrested on March 31 by the LaGrange Police Department on charges of rape-strong arm. Godwin is currently being held at the Troup County Jail without bond.
Godwin made a name for himself at Callaway High School from 2011-2014, earning a spot on the USA Today All-USA First Team defense and ranking as the top overall prospect in Georgia for the 2015 recruiting class, according to Rivals.com.
He went on to have a successful college career at the University of Georgia, recording 133 receptions for 1,788 yards and 11 touchdowns over four seasons.
Godwin was selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft and went on to play three seasons in the league. He has also been a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
