What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2025 NFL Draft

I believe my versatility is what sets me apart as a top prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. Throughout my career, I’ve demonstrated the ability to play every position along the defensive line, adapting to my team’s needs. This ‘plug and play’ mentality not only showcases my skills but also my commitment to contributing to the team’s success in whatever capacity is required.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

One thing NFL teams should know about me is that I am a high-character guy and I have strong will to succed. I started my college career as a walk-on, which meant I had to prove myself from the ground up. With the guidance from my coaches, I was able to craft a unique career and develop my skills. This journey has taught me the value of hard work and perseverance, and I’m ready to bring that same dedication to the next level.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

If I could donate to one cause in the world, it would be education. I believe that access to quality education can empower individuals and transform communities. Supporting educational programs that provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities for underprivileged students can make a huge difference in their lives and future.

Who was your role model?

My role model is definitely my mother. She was an incredible athlete, playing softball and basketball at Huntington College. After giving birth to me, she continued to compete and finished her college degree early. She even went back to earn her master’s degree while raising me as a single parent until she remarried. Despite all the challenges, she never missed a single event I had and always made sure I had everything I needed. Her dedication and resilience inspire me every day, and I strive to embody those qualities in my own life and career.

Who is your favorite NFL team?

Eagles & LA Rams

Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?

The most underrated teammate would have to be Jaylen “Jrock” Swain at Jax State. He’s been a huge help for me in learning the game and really understanding it on a deeper level. His athletic ability combined with his football IQ makes him super gifted, and he definitely doesn’t let his size hold him back. I really appreciate everything he’s done for me!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

My biggest pet peeve is definitely being around negative people. It can really bring down the vibe and make it hard to stay motivated. I try to focus on surrounding myself with positive influences instead.

Who is your favorite teacher ever?

My favorite teacher is Samuel McKissick. He taught me a lot and helped me learn valuable life lessons. He was my middle and high school history teacher, and he even taught my parents. During my time as Student Government president, he served as our administrator. His guidance has also inspired me to consider a future career as an attorney.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

Overcoming adversity is a crucial aspect of defining one’s character. One of the hardest moments in my life was when I was cut from the varsity baseball team, despite being one of the better players in the town of Vincent. Having played baseball since I was three years old and participating in travel ball, All-Star teams, and even the World Series, the day I was cut was shocking. It felt like everything I knew was coming to an end. However, that moment also led me to realize that I needed to take football seriously. It was a difficult transition, but it ultimately shaped my determination and resilience, allowing me to pursue a new passion.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, I would choose J. Cole, LeBron James, and Tom Brady. Each of them represents the pinnacle of success in their respective fields. I would love the opportunity to engage in conversation, soak up their insights, and ask them questions about their journeys. Gaining first-hand advice from such accomplished individuals would be invaluable and incredibly inspiring.

What is your biggest weakness?

One of my biggest weaknesses is that I tend to be very self-critical and often seek validation from others. This self-criticism can sometimes hinder my confidence and decision-making. I recognize that seeking validation can lead to relying too much on external opinions rather than trusting my own instincts. I’m actively working on this by focusing on self-reflection and building my self-esteem, aiming to find a balance between self-assessment and self-acceptance.
