What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My father introduced me to many sports when I was young, but while playing soccer, I instinctively delivered a football-style tackle. That moment made it clear that football was the right sport for me. From then on, I fell in love with the game—the physicality, the strategy, and the brotherhood that comes with it. Football has been my passion ever since.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My entire journey is my favorite moment. Through the highs and lows, the mountains and valleys, every experience has shaped me into the man I am today. The lessons I’ve learned on the field—discipline, resilience, and perseverance—have carried over into my life off the field. Every challenge and every triumph has played a role in my growth, and for that, I’m truly grateful.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Moving forward in football, I’m focused on achieving constant growth, winning, and evolving within my professional career. I want to continue sharpening my skills, embracing every challenge, and proving myself at the highest level. My goal is to keep growing as both a player and a person, making an impact on and off the field.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

I would hangout with Troy Polamalu because of how he understood game flow, aggressiveness on the field, and how he could decipher plays.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother has been my biggest inspiration and supporter throughout my entire journey. She has always believed in me, pushed me to be my best, and reminded me to stay focused on my goals. One of the greatest lessons she has taught me is to tune out the outside noise and never get comfortable with complacency. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering faith continue to motivate me every day.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defensive scheme is the 4-2-5 because today’s game is so pass-heavy, and having a nickel who can play as a hybrid safety-corner is crucial. It allows for versatility, speed, and the ability to adjust to different offensive looks. This past season, I played in a pro-style defense, and I loved it. It challenged me to be more disciplined, make quick reads, and adapt to various situations on the field.

What should we know about Cameron Hinson the person?

You should know that I am always striving to learn, grow, and adapt in any situation. My mentor has embedded in me the mindset that if you ever stop learning and growing, you’ve capped your potential. I approach every challenge as an opportunity to improve, both on and off the field, and I’m committed to pushing myself to be the best version of me every day.

What stands out about your film the most?

What stands out on my film is my range, recognition, and instincts. I take pride in my ability to read plays, react quickly, and make impactful decisions on the field. My ball skills, leadership, and willingness to be physical set me apart, allowing me to make plays in both the passing and running game. I strive to be a difference-maker on every snap.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

In my life, I always seek my Lord and Savior because I know He can guide me through any situation. My faith gives me strength, clarity, and the confidence to push forward no matter the obstacles. On the field, I handle challenges by bonding with my teammates and coaches, trusting in our preparation, and leaning on the brotherhood we’ve built. Adversity is part of the game and life, but with faith, teamwork, and perseverance, I know I can overcome anything.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Any team that brings me in will get my competitive nature, adaptability to an evolving game, and my relentless drive to improve. I’m willing to learn, highly coachable, and always looking for ways to elevate my game and add value. Beyond my individual skills, I take pride in being a great teammate—bringing leadership, energy, and a team-first mentality to every practice and game.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Football has been more than a game for me, it’s been my outlet, my teacher, and my therapy through life’s toughest moments. I’m grateful for every lesson challenge, and memory this journey has given me.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated teammate I’ve played with is Ja’Laun Walton because of his willingness and attitude to learn any position he was assigned to. He approached every challenge with a team-first mentality, always ready to step up and do whatever was needed. His versatility, work ethic, and dedication often went unnoticed, but those who played alongside him knew how valuable he was to our team’s success.
