What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I decided to be a football player because I grew up in Texas where football is something everybody does. Early on I was able to get a glimpse of high school football games and realized I wanted to play this sport.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Playing and winning a game in Ireland versus Nebraska as well as winning the Las Vegas Bowl. In high school, we beat our rival school at NRG Stadium in Houston.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I’m looking to make an impact on whichever team I am on. I want to help an organization win football games.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present, who and why?
If I could hang out with any player, it would have to be Drew Brees because I grew up as a New Orleans Saints fan.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My sister has always inspired me the most with her work ethic and courage.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
My favorite offensive scheme is a wide zone with play action off of it. I was introduced to this in high school playing for Coach Kubiak.
What should we know about Thomas Gordon the person?
Something you should know about me is that I am a competitor, and I will always be in the right place at the right time on the field. I also hate to lose whether that is card games, sports, or Xbox.
What stands out about your film the most?
I believe my film shows that I am able to do anything that is asked of a TE. I can run routes, make contested catches, and block both inline and on the perimeter.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle challenges by leaning on the support system around me.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a player who is highly motivated and skilled and would do whatever he could in order to help a team win.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
What I love most about the game of football is the process behind it. I love the lifts, film, and everything else that is required to be a football player.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Greyson Metz. He is the ultimate competitor and has shown he can play at a very high level when given the chance.
