What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2025 NFL Draft?
What separates me is my versatility. I can play both Guard and Center at the next level. I earned All-American and All-Conference honors at both positions. I focus a lot on my footwork and explosiveness to get to the second and third level with ease. I was lucky to be raised in a football household and I bring a strong football IQ to the playing field.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
I’m someone that will make an impact on both the field and in the locker room. I pride myself on being a team-first player. I strive to be someone who uplifts my teammates, fosters a winning culture, and leads by example.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
If I could donate to one cause in the world, it would be to support research and awareness for sickle cell disease. I have close friends and family members that have been impacted by this disease. I’m passionate about finding ways to improve the quality of life for those suffering from it.
Who was your role model?
My role model is my dad, Roderick Carter Sr. He’s been there every step of the way in my life, and I’ve always wanted to follow in his footsteps. He played for Coach Jimmy Johnson and won a national championship at the University of Miami and was drafted by the Cowboys. My dad is always inspiring me to chase greatness both on and off the field.
Who is your favorite NFL team?
I truly don’t have a single favorite team. I’ve always been more focused on players. Tom Brady was someone who I always watched growing up. Now, since he’s retired, I’ve been watching more of Lamar Jackson. What gravitates me to them is their passion, greatness and resilience. My other favorite players on the offensive line are Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, and Quinn Meinerz.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
My quarterback, Shea Spencer. Shea is one of the most talented players I’ve ever been around. This season he was the heart and soul of the team, without question.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
People with integrity issues. I need to know that I can trust you to take responsibility and to be honest.
Who is your favorite teacher ever?
Professor Clottey from my Human Resource Management class. He takes personal interest in his students and inspires people to learn.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
The hardest moment was in the middle of the 2021 season I suffered a season ending injury. That took a toll on me not only physically, but mentally as well. I had to fight to get back. It was a tough injury and going through that made me appreciate the game so much more because it can be gone in an instant.
If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house what would it be?
Definitely, Chipotle. Honorable mention would be The Habit Burger.
What is your favorite snack food?
I actually don’t really eat snacks. I’ve never been one to eat junk food or anything like that. I don’t even like eating chips without a sandwich. I prefer to eat meals over snacks any day.
What is your degree in?
BA in Business Administration, Concentration in Management.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I think that’s pretty self-explanatory. The others would be LeBron James and Tom Brady, due to their greatness.
What is your biggest weakness?
My biggest weakness is that I can be overly critical of myself because I hold myself to such high standards. However, I use this as motivation to constantly improve and never settle for less than my best.
