(VIDEO) Arkansas Football Player Who Blatantly Stepped on Texas Tech Football Player Apologizes
This past weekend while watching the Liberty Bowl, there was a play by number 55 on Arkansas that lit the internet up.
You can see the video here:
Fernando Carmona the big football player blatantly stepped on Texas Tech’s CJ Baskerville causing him to have an ankle injury. It was disgusting, and even CJ went to twitter to say that Carmona not only stepped on his ankle, but said “Got Your Bitch Ass” after stepping on him. Baskerville has since deleted the tweet, but you can still see the tweet on the internet.
Carmona finally broke his silence and posted to his X account apologizing for his actions.
He posted on X: ‘I’d like to apologize for my actions last Friday night in the Liberty Bowl. I let my emotions get away from me.
‘I have nothing but respect for Texas Tech and the game of football. I apologize to my team and coaches. I’m not that kind of player and will learn from this.’
Former NFL player Emmanuel Acho and many others went to Twitter to call Carmona trash for his actions.
The former Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants player posted on X: ‘I’m sharing this because #55 (Carmona) is trash for this and deserves public shame. The end.’
Many want the Arkansas football player suspended from the game. I am not sure what he was thinking, but that was a bad move. Pretty disgusting.
