- Bethune’s Cam Ransom delivered an impressive showing, completing 18 of 20 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown.
- Darnell Deas had a significant impact with 5 receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown, helping secure a victory over Grambling State.
- Javon Robinson of Grambling State kept his team in contention, tallying 7 receptions for 91 yards and scoring on an electrifying punt return for a touchdown.
- Jackson State’s Irv Mulligan led his team to a commanding win over Texas Southern, rushing 19 times for 141 yards and scoring a touchdown.
