Dante Chachere was a standout 3-sport athlete at Clovis West HS in Fresno before coming to Portland State University. He has been the starter for the Vikings for the past 3 seasons, totaling 5511 total passing yards and 2096 yards rushing. This season, Chachere was named to Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List as one of the most exciting dual-threat QBs in the country. He showcases quick feet and is very elusive in the pocket which allows him to extend plays. He captains an R.P.O. offense where he utilizes his athleticism and executes quick throws. Chachere exemplifies leadership and high character, displaying the willingness to do whatever it takes to help his team. His skillset and experience allow him options as a professional which may have him switch positions. Only time will tell.
