Ravens Continue Offensive Dominance in 24-Point Win with Historic Performances from Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry

he Baltimore Ravens showcased their offensive firepower once again, scoring 24 points and amassing 387 total yards in their Week 8 victory. With this performance, the Ravens joined elite company, becoming just the fourth team in NFL history to score at least 20 points and accumulate 375 or more total yards in each of their first eight games of a season. The other teams to achieve this feat are the 2013 Denver Broncos, 2007 New England Patriots, and 2000 St. Louis Rams.

Ravens’ Ground Game in Elite Company

Baltimore’s rushing attack continues to dominate, totaling 1,600 rushing yards through their first eight games. They are now the fourth team since 1980 to reach this milestone, joining the 1984 Chicago Bears (1,677 yards), 2006 Atlanta Falcons (1,641 yards), and the 2019 Ravens (1,639 yards).

Lamar Jackson Makes History—Again

Quarterback Lamar Jackson led the way with 335 total yards (289 passing, 46 rushing), two touchdown passes, and no interceptions, earning a 101.8 passer rating. Jackson’s 501 rushing yards this season mark his seventh consecutive season with at least 500 rushing yards, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to achieve that feat.

Jackson also became just the second quarterback to record at least 500 rushing yards in seven career seasons, joining Cam Newton. Additionally, Jackson’s consistency on the ground has been remarkable—he is only the second quarterback ever to rush for at least 40 yards in each of his team’s first eight games of a season, joining Michael Vick, who accomplished it in 2006.

Derrick Henry Reaches Rushing Milestone

Running back Derrick Henry contributed 73 rushing yards and added another accolade to his illustrious career with his 99th career rushing touchdown. Henry’s touchdown in Week 8 set a new NFL record, as he became the first player in league history to score a touchdown in each of his first eight games with a new team.

Ravens Eyeing Deep Playoff Run

With a balanced offensive attack led by Jackson and Henry, Baltimore is emerging as one of the most formidable teams in the league. Their ability to dominate both through the air and on the ground has kept defenses guessing, and the records being set along the way reflect the historic nature of their performances.

As the Ravens enter the second half of the season, they look primed for a deep postseason run, armed with one of the league’s most dynamic offenses.
