We continue to spotlight the early successes of HBCU true freshmen making impactful contributions on the field. Here are some standout performers:
UAPB’s Donovan Giles, a wide receiver, recorded 3 receptions for 64 yards, including a touchdown.
Grambling State’s DB Blake Davis (#1) delivered an outstanding performance against Louisiana, tallying 8 tackles, a sack, and an interception.
Texas Southern’s Jaymerson Darensbourg made 5 tackles against Rice, while Danny Green Jr. rushed 7 times for 18 yards in the same game.
DB Justin Bostic posted 2 solo tackles against the University of Miami, and Freshman Defensive Tackle Stantavious Smith added 2 assisted tackles.
Jackson State’s freshman running back duo, Nate Blount and Kobe Boykin, each made key contributions against Lane, averaging 4 yards per carry.
Worked as a Scout and volunteer for the East n West Shriners game in 2016-2017.
