Player Summary:

Graduate senior.  Starts at WR.  Mostly inside but has experience playing outside.  Good frame and arm length with room to add bulk. Above average receiver and marginal blocker.  As a receiver he is above average.  Key weakness is average speed and is marginal as a route runner but makes up for it with several redeeming qualities.  Displays good hands, nice catch radius, good body adjustment to the ball.  Very good after-the-catch – consistently displays good vision to follow blocks and finishes forward on contact, can make first defenders miss and be very elusive. He can run through tackles and stay balanced in space.  Could press vertical after the catch better but is excellent with getting yards after contact.  Displays good on-field awareness to find soft spots in zones.  As a route runner he is marginal.  More of a linear player.  Takes a few extra steps on curls and hooks to get in/out of his break and could develop and improve in this area.  As a blocker he is marginal to below-average.  Mostly gets in the way, doesn’t show ability to latch onto defenders, drive them off the ball and finish.  Struggles to get inside leverage on inside run plays.  Did not face press converge in the games viewed.  Ha High character: source on staff said he’s one of the hardest workers in the program, good person, very vocal who holds his teammates accountable, hard worker on the practice field who does extra work when others aren’t around.

Scheme Fit:

IWR

Power Statement:

Although he has marginal speed, Womack has several redeeming qualities that make him a viable prospect.  He has good hands and is strong after-the-catch.  He also has a great work ethic and is a good contributor to the locker room and elevates those around him.
