The Matchup. On paper, the game looks a lot different than a year ago. The Vikings, previously one of the best teams in the division, have undergone wholesale changes. They will be breaking in a new quarterback, more than likely Sam Darnold.

The Bears, meanwhile, look completely different. They bring back one of the best and most opportunistic defenses of a year ago while completely revamping the offensive side of the ball.

No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams will be under center and he’ll have a boatload of weapons. The team drafted dynamic receiver Rome Odunze, traded for veteran receiver Keenan Allen, and signed dual-threat running back D’Andre Swift.

Expectations are already high for the Bears offense. Williams is rated as a franchise quarterback and coming into a situation with so many weapons will help him avoid the growing pains that young QBs normally have.

The Vikings saw improvement in their questionable defense over the course of the 2023 season, but this will be a major challenge. If the Bear’s defense can cause problems for Darnold and dynamic receiver duo Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, it could be a long day across the pond for the purple and gold. Either way, it is going to be an exciting NFC North matchup for the London crowd.
