Pittman’s Pocket: 4-Star Defensive Lineman from Miami Central chooses his College
This past weekend marked a historic moment as one of the nation’s top high school prospects signed with the newly SEC-affiliated Oklahoma Sooners.
Floyd Boucard, a standout prospect, has garnered significant attention in this year’s recruiting class, receiving over 40 Division 1 offers, including notable ones from HBCUs such as Jackson State and Bethune-Cookman and originally from Quebec, Canada, Boucard, now a senior, had a plethora of options to consider, including USC Trojans, Miami, and Alabama.
Earlier this year, Boucard relocated with his family to South Florida, greatly boosting his recruiting profile. Ultimately, this past weekend, Boucard made his decision to commit to the newly SEC-affiliated Oklahoma Sooners.
Head Coach Brent Venables expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming the highly talented defensive lineman to the team. Boucard reflected on his decision, stating, “Love who loves you. I believe Oklahoma did just that.”
The Draft Diamonds family and Pittman’s Pocket extend their congratulations to Boucard on his signing in the 2025 class. The team is proud of Floyd and looks forward to his future endeavors.
