Justin Jefferson is grateful for Kirk Cousins, and is not mad he left to get paid

Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson was one of the best quarterback-wide receiver combos in the NFL, and we will not be blessed to watch them again this year. In the off-season Cousins left the Vikings to get paid 180 million dollars from the Atlanta Falcons.
Jefferson was recently on the Rich Eisen Show and talked about Cousins departure, and he was very mature about the situation.
While it stings that Jefferson will not have his QB1 in the building, he understood the business decision.
“Yeah and no,” Jefferson said when asked if he was surprised when with Cousins’ exit. “I always knew Kirk was going to do whatever he needs to do for his business-wise. I just knew that everything wasn’t the way he wanted it to be here. Especially just with having to pay me and having to pay so many other different guys, I feel like he just wanted a new start.”
“I’m not mad at him at all for that. I’m grateful for what he has brought to me, and the things that we have accomplished together, but at the end of the day it’s a business. You have to do what you have to do for yourself and your family. I clearly understand that.”
The Vikings hopefully have made the right decision with Sam Darnold and JJ McCarthy, otherwise Jefferson may want out of town himself.
