California incoming freshman football player found in school swimming pool did not survive

Jason Phan, a future freshman football at Chino High in California is dead after being found in the school’s swimming pool.
According to reports, the 14-year-old Phan was pulled from the school pool and died several days later.
The upcoming freshman at Chino high’s death is being investigated, but there is no evidence a crime took place.
An official school activity was taking place in the aquatics center on Friday around 2:30 p.m. when Chino police and Chino Valley Fire District paramedics were called to the school. There were “a significant number of people” in and around the pool at the time, according to reports.
A vigil was held at the school after Phan died.
Counselors were on hand yesterday for any student or staff member suffering.
Please keep the Phan family in your prayers.
