Emporia State football player Michael Hourel was arrested for aggravated burglary and assault

Michael Hourel was a beast at Highland Community College. The former first team All-Jayhawk Conference linebacker is now facing a massive allegation.
A woman is claiming she woke up to find Hourel in her house uninvited. The woman approached Hourel and Hourel reportedly reacted putting the female against the wall. She was able to scream waking up her husband.
Hourel recently transferred to Emporia State’s football team and was hoping to have a huge year. Now, Hourel will be suspended from the team as the legal process unfolds.
The incident caused the females husband to wake up which led to police showing up. Hourel, 19, was charged with aggravated burglary, as well as aggravated assault and other counts.
Hourel has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 25 in Lyon County District Court in Emporia.
