DEAD WRONG: ESPN’s Cameras Cut to Damar Hamlin During ESPYs Speech About Death

I am a big Buffalo Bills fan, and last night, I walked away made with the ESPY’s. I thought the speech by former Saints football player Steve Gleason was amazing, but I am mad with ESPN.
There was a very awkward moment during the speech. Gleason said if it was not for his family and friends he would have been dead years ago.
“If it weren’t for my family, community and caregivers, I would’ve been dead years ago,” Gleason said.
At that moment, ESPN, panned to Damar Hamlin and kept he camera on him.
I think ESPN should apologize for this. If you remember correctly, Hamlin nearly lost his life on the football field back in January 2023. I feel it was disrespectful, and wrong, and I hope ESPN is held accountable for their actions.
