Senior.  Starter at OLB, 2-point stance, scheme fit OLB in a 3-4.  Good arm length, good frame with room to grow based on view from film.  Classic Hula Bowl guy – average run defender, below average pass rusher, above-average in pass coverage.  As a run defender he is average.  Can be very disruptive and maintains active feet and hand use.  Effective run defender around the goal line – can plug some gaps and free up other defenders to clean up.  Good in short yardage.

Can use long arm technique to set an edge and stay square to ballcarriers.  Good motor when he is able to run free and disengage off blocks, can chase down ballcarriers.  Instincts are up and down; will have times where he walks right into a double team.  Lacks the agility/foot quickness to move laterally and make open-field tackles in the flat, needs to improve in that area.

As a pass rusher he is below average.  Decent motor and pursuit and take good angles when free but gets locked down too much one-on-one. Struggles to dip his shoulder and turn the corner.  Neutralized too easily when rushing out wide.  Lacks an extra move beyond a bull rush.  More of a drag-down tackler, not a thumper.  Can drop and be effective in covering the pass.  Just two games available; check senior season.
