Who will be in attendance?
Melvin Council Jr. – The 6’4 guard from Rochester, New York was a First Team All-NEC player for Wagner Seahawks last year before transferring to the Bonnies. Counciel Jr. was one of four Seahawks to appear in all 33 games, becoming the first player in an NCAA Tournament Game with 20+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, while shooting 50% or better, playing every minute of the game, and not committing a foul since assists became official in 1984 in Wagner’s win over Howard. Council Jr. is a scoring machine with a knack for getting to the hoop.
Jaxon Edwards – Edwards is a 6’5 guard who transferred to St. Bonnies from Valpo. The Indianapolis native played in 31 games and made 21 starts. He scored in double figures in 9 of those games. He averaged 7.3 points a game and is only a Junior this year. He is a double transfer, who played 770 minutes (24.8 mpg) as a sophomore after playing just 28 minutes (2.6 mpg) as a freshman at Murray State. Edwards can slice to the rack and make baskets he is a great up-and-coming player.
Ebrahim Kaba – Kaba is a massive man standing at 6’9. Kaba is an athletic, highly skilled scoring wing who can really rebound. He’s a big guard with NBA range. He has the potential to be an elite wing at the college level. Kaba had 30 offers and chose St. Bonaventure over schools like Saint Louis, Washington State, and Fordham. Kaba is a young player who will have NBA team’s attention. I expect a huge rookie year from the star big man.
I hope you will all show up to meet the young superstars of tomorrow. Go Bonnies!
