Ex-College Football player shot and killed in Compton shortly after Kendrick Lamar Commencement speech
According to Last Chance U star and former football coach Jason Brown, two of his former college players were shot shortly after the Kendrick Lamar Commencement Speech at Compton College in California.
One person was killed and four others were injured during a shooting Friday night at a backyard party in Compton.
According to the Compton Fire Department, a man was found dead on the scene. The man killed was identified by family members as Robert Abdelkader III, who was in his 20s and was a business owner. Another man and three women were rushed to the hospital, though their conditions are unknown.
Abdelkader III was a 6’5, 280 pound offensive lineman from Cabrillo High in Long Beach, California. This is such a sad event. Please keep his family in your prayers.
A sixth victim walked into a hospital two hours after the shooting.
