North Carolina High School football player died after suffering injuries from a car accident
Brycen Mabe a high school football player in North Carolina for Pinecrest High School died yesterday, after suffering injuries from a car accident.
The 17-year-old star was placed on life support at UNC Medical Center, but he succumbs to his injuries.
His head football coach released this statement on Brycen.
“Brycen was a very very great young man; he did everything we asked him to do,” said Nick Eddins, coach of the Pinecrest Patriots football team. “You only had to ask him one time and he would do it. It was an honor to be able to say that I was his coach.
“He was very intense and tough minded (on the field) he wanted to do it perfectly and never wanted to mess up, he was a perfectionist. He was a huge asset for us and he was a player that brought other players up with him.”
Mabe was involved in a car accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of Fairway Drive and Central Dive in Southern Pines at around 10 p.m. on June 6.
Please keep the Mabe family in your prayers.
