Growing up I wasn’t allowed to play until 8th grade, and I was always around athletes and had role models that played sports and my uncle played football and played at eastern and got drafted by the Jaguars and that’s how I got into football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Putting on my pads and helmet for the first time in 8th grade, high school team camps that my team went to and college wise playing at eastern with Eric Barriere who I think is really good and it’s a good place to play football at.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My parents, because of the way they’ve always supported me and gave back to me and made me determined to be my best.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Just another year of growing up and getting better with the group of guys we have and just going out there and playing football and loving it.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Cooper Kupp, got to ask him how and why he chose eastern and what he did to get to the NFL and have success in the NFL and ask him about his work ethic.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Eastern Washington?

The legacy that eastern has and the support we have from the community and the coaches and teammates and the red field.

What should we know about Efton Chism III the person?

That I’m a leader by example and if you think I can’t do something I’m going to do it and I’m always going to try to be the best version of myself and who has a big chip on my shoulder.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

Air raid, having an explosive offense and being able to stretch the field makes it easier on our offensive line and running backs.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

You got to face it head on and attack the challenge because you are either going to get better or learn from it to get better next time.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone that doesn’t care about their ego and I will be there to do whatever is best to help the team win even special teams like punt and kick returns.

What stands out about your film the most?

I catch the ball at a high clip and my run after the catch as well.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Eric Barriere, he doesn’t get the love and credit he deserves even though he won a Walter Payton and helps bring us success.
