Chiefs suspend practice after BJ Thompson suffered cardiac arrest

The Kansas City Chiefs canceled their practice today after a medical emergency.
The Chiefs didn’t offer very many details on the situation, but according to Tom Pelissero, defensive lineman BJ Thompson had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance after he went into cardiac arrest after suffering a seizure during a special teams meeting.
According to multiple reports, the Chiefs’ medical staff responded to the situation immediately and Thompson is now in stable condition at the hospital.
Thompson was a draft pick in 2023 out of Stephen F. Austin. We sat down with BJ for an interview. He is a great kid and we hope he recovers quickly.
