Chiefs defensive end BJ Thompson released from hospital after suffering cardiac arrest in a team meeting
We are pumped to announce that BJ Thompson is home! The former small school pass rusher was released from the hospital days after going into cardiac arrest at a team meeting.
Chris Turnage, a long time supporter of NFL Draft Diamonds and the agent of BJ, told us that the former Stephen F. Austin edge rusher was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. He also said his family was extremely grateful for all the support.
“The family thanks everyone for their prayers and wants to especially thank the Chiefs medical and training staff for their rapid response and professionalism throughout this situation,” Turnage said.
It is pretty cool that Harrison Butker was the one that ran to get help for Thompson when he noticed him having a seizure. Please keep the prayers coming in for BJ and his family.
