Pittman’s Pocket: It would be wonderful if Canada had an HBCU Combine!

I believe now is the time for the Canadian League to be more open to the HBCU talent pool, since many of their recruits & draft prospects are coming from the HBCU schools.
Michael Chris-Ike was selected 14th overall in the 2nd round in this year’s CFL 2024 Draft. Ike is a 6’2, 225 pound running back that ran a 4.51 from Delaware State University an HBCU football program out the MEAC.
After a disappointing NFL Draft, and no players selected it seems the CFL is picking up the slack.
I would love to see CFL run an HBCU Combine adjacent to the NFL scouting combine. I believe the CFL is steering in the direction of finding the best talent, and they can have all Canadian born prospects attend the combine. Even allow international players to attend since the leagues are trending this way.
What do you think? Should the CFL have a HBCU Combine? Because they are now drafting HBCU players!
