Star Alabama football player shot and killed in CVS Parking Lot days before his graduation

An Auburn High School football star was shot and killed in a CVS parking lot just several days before his graduation.
Delvin Tarver, 18, was in a SUV when he was struck by gunfire in the parking lot of the CVS around 12:43 a.m. Saturday. According to reports, the Bullock County High School prom attendees were congregating just a mile away from the school’s prom.
Tarver, who was scheduled to graduate in just 17 days on May 23, was a distinguished member of the National Honor Society and football player.
While authorities have identified a person of interest in connection with the shooting, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The Union Springs Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and call police at 334-738-3131, or individuals can choose to remain anonymous by contacting Central Alabama Crime Stoppers at 334-215-STOP (7867).
