Chiefs superstar sends supporting message to kicker Harrison Butker after backlash for comments
Everyone including the NFL turned on Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker quickly after his commencement speech at Benedictine College.
It has become a hot commodity, with people trashing him including multiple major media outlets. Well, last night his teammate came out to support him.
Chris Jones the star pass rusher and All-Pro Defensive Lineman sent him some support.
“I love you,” said Chiefs star defensive lineman Chris Jones. “My brotha.”
Jones’ message was in direct response to news of an apparent petition calling for Butker to be cut.
Over 182k fans have signed the petition to cut Butker. The post says we demand accountability from our sports figures who should be role models promoting respect for all people regardless of their race, gender identity or sexual orientation. We call upon the Kansas City Chiefs management to dismiss Harrison Butker immediately for his inappropriate conduct.
The NFL quickly turned their back on the star kicker for his comments, so I am glad at least one of his teammates stepped up to tell him he loved him.
