What are the Washington Commanders doing? They have a huge need at quarterback after sending Sam Howell to the Seahawks, and they seem to be messing with the best player on their board.

Washington brought in four of the top quarterback prospects in the 2024 class this past week. They brought in LSU’s Jayden Daniels, North Carolina’s Drake Maye, Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., but they did not do it individually, they had them in for a group visit, which didn’t sit right with Daniels’ agent, Ron Butler, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“It didn’t seem to go over too well with…Ron Butler, who sounded off on social media last night that he didn’t seem particularly pleased with the process,” Schefter said. “I think Jayden Daniels thought it would be a visit with just him meeting with the Commanders. Many people think that Jayden Daniels will wind up being the No. 2 overall pick, but the Commanders essentially opened up the process.”

It makes you wonder what the Commanders are trying to do. Was this on purpose to see what quarterback would act like a little kid? Was it to find out who was immature, or was it to find out who was willing to take the competition? Right now the spot is Jayden Daniels to lose, but this is pretty interesting when you look at the big picture.

Everyone knows the Raiders want Jayden Daniels, and others, but was this intended to fire up someone to trade up to #2, or was this created to just give the Commanders more information on the prospects? I am not sure, but I think it is funny. The Raiders want Jayden Daniels bad, but I would make them salvage their future to come up and get him.
