High School football player boasted he was too strong after beating another teen to death

Talan Renner a 17-year-old is being charged for first-degree murder and kidnapping in the October 28th murder of Preston Lord.
Renner is one of seven suspects charged for the incident, and even boasted to a friend online that he mistakenly “killed” Lord during a fight because he was unaware of how strong he is.
The fight happened at a Halloween party close to Phoenix, Arizona.
Police said that Renner’s exact quote was “I guess I’m just too strong,”.
“I got in a fight, a big group fight and I accidentally killed a kid,” Renner wrote in a Snapchat message, police said. “I guess I’m just too strong.”
Renner, who remains jailed on $1 million bond, repeatedly struck the victim before other partygoers joined the fight.
Renner was a solid football player at American Leadership Academy in Gilbert, Arizona. He was a class of 2025 prospect who played running back and defensive end.
