Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels now have the same Vegas odds to become the #2 pick

Does North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye deserve to be drafted No. 2 overall by the Commanders more than LSU’s Jayden Daniels?
The betting market is tipping off draft picks early, leaving us to wonder about the Washington Commanders’ plans with the second overall pick. Jayden Daniels was initially favored, but Drake Maye’s odds are back in play.
As of Thursday afternoon, the odds for the second pick had LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels close to a lock to be picked by the Commanders. Daniels’ odds at BetMGM were -400.
He went from -400 to -125. As of Friday afternoon, Daniels is -125 to go second overall. Maye was +220 on Thursday afternoon, then +150 on Thursday night, and +100 on Friday. Well, now the pair is even.
Maybe, the Commanders caused this, by bringing in Daniels, Maye, J.J. McCarthy, and Michael Penix Jr. in for a visit on the same day.
Daniels’s agent reacted unfavorably on Twitter, creating the impression that maybe now Daniels doesn’t want to go to the Commanders, so Vegas is quickly switching their odds. Who knows what will happen, but I am sure it could get interesting.
