What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I grew up in a football town, so it’s kind of 2nd nature where I’m from Temple, Texas we have a very rich tradition in football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

A few of my favorite moments were playing in the state championship in high school, receiving a division 1 scholarship in junior college, winning a bowl game and having some of the most team success in school history at New Mexico State. Getting my first start after coming off an injury the year before.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Reaching my full potential and playing at a high level.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Tyrann Mathieu, I’ve always respected his game and can relate a lot to his story.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom I’ve watched her overcome a lot. So any adversity I face I know I can get through it.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I would have to say 3 match because you have your corners essentially locked up with a post safety but it still gives you some inside help versus in breaking routes.

What should we know about BJ Sculark the person?

Everything I ever I got in my life I earned so I’m not really into taking shortcuts in anything.

What stands out about your film the most?

Cover skills and tackling.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Staying steady trying not to get too high or low.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A leader, a great cover guy that’s willing to come up and tackle.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The brotherhood and the process from building yourself to the player you want to be and a team of guys coming from all over the world for one common goal.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Neaten Mitchell, seeing him on scout team I know he has a lot of potential and this year his role has increased tremendously and I know he’ll make the most of his opportunity.
