Michigan defensive line coach arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated

Newly hired defensive line coach Greg Scruggs is already in hot water with his new coaching staff.
The former NFL player and defensive line coach hired back at the beginning of March was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated in Ann Arbor and has been suspended indefinitely by Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore.
Scruggs, 33, was officially hired on March 8th by Moore, who is in his first season as Michigan head coach.
Before arriving at Michigan, Scruggs spent the 2022 season working as the defensive line coach for the New York Jets.
Sherrone Moore released this statement:
“Greg made an unfortunate mistake and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated,” Moore’s statement read. “He made no excuses and has taken accountability for his actions. The football program and athletic department have suspended Greg indefinitely while we review details of the incident.”
