What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
When I first grew up watching the game of football and I played youth football at 6 and I fell in love with it.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
First when I was at Jackson State I was about to be redshirted and a couple guys got injured and I ran for 181 rushing yards against Mississippi Valley State and playing Bowie State at there homecoming I had 20 carries for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns and against Tusculum I had 2 kick returns for 107 yards and returned the opening kickoff 91 yards.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to play in the NFL and have a good pro day and learn the techniques of the NFL and I want to be drafted or a least get an undrafted free agent contract but I know I’ll be playing professionally.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Adrian Peterson, Tyreek Hill and Lamar Jackson, Adrian Peterson was a great running back and I’d love to see how he became as great as he was. Tyreek I’d love to learn how fast he got and Lamar I’d just love to learn from him or play with him.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom, because she’s a hard working woman and she’s been working since I was a kid. I learned from her to have a good work ethic and give everything 100 percent and she inspired me the most.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
Spread, just running zone reads and RPO’s you can open it up and give the defense a different look and I also like 11 personnel having a TE as a blocker out there.
What should we know about Kymani Clarke the person?
I’m a real versatile athlete and I’ll open a lot of eyes when they see me play and I’m a really dynamic player and if scouts see me I’ll change there mind.
What stands out about your film the most?
My explosiveness and my versatility and the way I run I make defenders miss and my speed kills.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I tend to slow down things and take a breath and think it through and go with my heart to get through any adversity.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Being a reliable player and making my team better on and off the football field.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The adversity of how things change with one play like special teams or a big touchdown it gives me the thrill of the game and also being out there and lock in no matter what is going on with the crowd around you.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Jordan Davis, my quarterback at Virginia State, his story about being a backup to starter and he undefeated as a starter.
