Freak athlete James Williams plans to excel at safety

Miami safety James Williams declared for the NFL Draft as a junior.  There has been speculation that his 6-5, 215-pound frame would be better suited to linebacker; nevertheless he still plans to stick at his post at safety in the NFL.

“I started playing basketball, baseball, then football,” said Williams, who is freakishly athletic. 

Williams said, among other teams, he met with the Philadelphia Eagles over the past few days.

“It was a great meeting,” Williams said.  “They asked me a lot of questions.  They showed me tape.”

The number one way Williams has improved is his mindset when it comes to his approach to the game.

“Being able to be coached the game differently,” he said.  “Unlike the past two years, correcting myself.”
