Week 5 Small School Top Performers | Presented by Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl
The Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl will be played in Orlando, Florida on January 13th, 2024 and is televised on CBS Sports. The scouts of NFL Draft Diamonds have worked for the past three years as the scouting staff for the Hula Bowl. We are excited to get the 2023-24 season underway, and had scouts in attendance to 16 plus games this week. With tons of great football games in the NCAA this week, we wanted to break down several of the Top Performers in the Small Schoolers that would have eligibility to play in our game. Let’s break down some of the best performances from week 5.
Theo Day, QB, Northern Iowa – Day accounted for five touchdowns to include four threw the air. He finished with 337 yards passing and 4 TD’s with 1 interception. Day led the Panthers passed Youngstown State. Day has quickly become a leader for the Panthers.
Isaiah Davis, RB, South Dakota State – The Jackrabbits star rusher put on a clinic this weekend against North Dakota. He finished with 132 yards on the ground on just 16 carries. He also finished with three rushing touchdowns. Davis has the size and speed to be an NFL draft pick in 2024.
Jalen Coker, WR, Holy Cross – The 6’3 wide receiver is having an amazing year. He already has 546 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns on the season. He finished this past weeks game with 7 receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Coker was averaging 25 yards a reception against Harvard. They could not stop him.
Nate Lynn, DL, William and Mary – The 6’3, 260-pound rusher continues to get after the QB. He added to his total this week and is now up to 7 sacks on the season and 9.0 tackles for loss. Lynn looks like a beast off the edge, and is making offensive lineman pay.
Charles Briscoe III, CB, New Hampshire – He blocked two punts, one which he recovered for a touchdown and the other setting up a UNH touchdown drive, and forced a fumble on the kickoff that opened the second half. He also racked up three tackles, he was a special teams ace this week!
