Week 4 Small School Top Performers | Presented by Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl
The Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl will be played in Orlando, Florida on January 13th, 2024 and is televised on CBS Sports. The scouts of NFL Draft Diamonds have worked for the past three years as the scouting staff for the Hula Bowl. We are excited to get the 2023-24 season underway, and had scouts in attendance to 18 plus games this week. With tons of great football games in the NCAA this week, we wanted to break down several of the Top Performers in the Small Schoolers that would have eligibility to play in our game. Let’s break down some of the best performances from week 4.
Jyran Mitchell, ATH, Butler – The senior athlete from Chicago, Illinois had a monster day in week 4. Mitchell is primarily a wide out, but man he tore up Stetson. He rumbled for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. He finished with an 8.5 yards per carry.
Solomon Davis, WR, Valparaiso – The 6’1 wide out from Tennessee had himself a day in week 4. He finished the game against Marist hauling in 10 receptions for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was a playmaker for Valpo.
Matthew Sluka, QB, Holy Cross – Holy Cross continues to win big, as they knocked off Colgate. Sluka threw four touchdown passes and finished the game 16/26 for 186 yards. He is a leader on and off the field and continues to shine.
Treyton Pickering, TE, Montana State – The senior tight end for the Bobcats had an awesome game in the win over Weber State. Pickering who is 6’4 hauled in 3 receptions for 83 yards including two touchdowns. he averaged 27.7 yards per reception.
Jack Culbreath, P, VMI – Yes, punters are people too! The 6’4 punter hit the ball 9 times in VMI’s win and he averaged 47.9 yards per punt with five of them going over 50 yards. His long on the day was 60. The wild thing is 5 of the punts were downed inside the 20 and his two other punts were downed at the 21.
