Sacramento City College football player dies after practice
A Sacramento City College football player died Monday following practice.
A college spokesperson said the cause of death wasn’t known and the student won’t be identified at this time out of respect for the family.
“We at Sacramento City College and the Los Rios Community College District simply cannot imagine the pain that this young man’s family and loved ones are dealing with right now,” a statement from the college reads. “All of our thoughts are with them at this time of unthinkable grief.”
So far on the season the Sacramento City College Panthers are 0-2 and have only scored 10 points in two games. They are averaging minus 11 yards rushing per game and 106 yards passing a game. They are not a very good football program, but it is very sad they lost one of their players.
If we find out more we will report the information.
