Legendary Cowboys Scout Gil Brandt passed away at the age of 91
Gil Brandt is one of the most legendary scouts in NFL history. The Dallas Cowboys longtime NFL scout who helped build America’s team drafting Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson, Cliff Harris, Everson Walls, and many others.
Brandt was also responsible for the trade of Herschel Walker. He also worked with the Cowboys when the selected Randy White, Ed Too Tall Jones, and Tony Dorsett. Brandt is a legend in the scouting world and he will be deeply missed.
He worked with the NFL to form the NFL Scouting Combine.
According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the former talent evaluator passed on Thursday morning.
He was 91 years old.
