Seahawks QB Geno Smith avoids reckless driving charge | He was speeding, had alcohol and THC in his system

Back in 2022, Geno Smith the Seahawks starting quarterback was arrested in January on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving but will not be charged for either.
Smith was stopped by police driving 96 in a 60 mph zone, and was going from lane to lane.
Prosecutors determined that driving 36 miles per hour over the speed limit and weaving between lanes is not reckless driving.
Smith was also under the influence of alcohol and THC. His blood-alcohol concentration was .038, less than half the legal limit in Washington of .08, but Smith also had a THC concentration was 2.6, well under the legal limit of 5.
While it was less than the legal limit, it was still in his system.
Geno was smart, he refused to take a breathalyzer and was taken to the hospital for a blood draw. Police had to use restraints to complete the blood work because Smith became agitated.
This is pretty wild, but I guess it pays to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
